B. R. Ambedkar was popularly known as Babasaheb Ambedkar and everyone knows that he was one of the architects of the Indian Constitution. He was a very well-known political leader, eminent jurist, Buddhist activist, philosopher, anthropologist, historian, orator, writer, economist, scholar, and editor, too. The world record for raising statues to oneself was set by Joseph Vissarionovich Dzhugashvili, alias Stalin (1879-1953), the leader of the Soviet Union from 1924-53. It is estimated that at the time of his death, there were c. 6000 statues of him throughout the USSR and in many cities in Eastern Europe.
